About us...

Since 1977, our conference has been a joint venture between the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA) , the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), and as of 2022, the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TCCI), offering an agenda of knowledge and expertise that can be used for the promotion, increased awareness, and implementation of safety and health practices in the workplace.

Our Purpose

“To bring together persons engaged in safety and health to discuss topics of mutual concern that affect working men and women.”

“To develop and formalize a unified force of safety and health persons, composed of government, labor and management, which will work together in support of long-range programs affecting the safety and health of workers on and off the job.”

“To establish a spirit of fraternalism among safety and health persons in order to further disseminate information and educational techniques relative to safety and health.”

“To enlist and develop the cooperation of and coordination among all public and private safety and health organizations in order to further encourage and promote methods and procedures leading to increased worker safety and health.”

Special 10-Hour Safety Course

Federal OSHA Training Institute’s Approved 10-Hour General Industry Safety & Health Course is being offered at this year’s Conference.

Participants will receive a Federal OSHA 10-hour completion card and an extensive library of compliance materials with an explanation of the OSHA Standards for General Industry.

Please note that registration for this course entitles the participant to a full conference registration as described on the Attendee Registration page.

The TSHC Exhibit Hall

The  exposition will again feature the latest innovations in products and services focusing on workplace safety and health. Activities are planned for the exhibit area to provide opportunity for interaction between attendees and exhibitors. The exhibit hall accommodates more than 150 booths and other special interest areas.

Continuing Education Units

The Tennessee Safety & Health Conference qualifies for Continuance of Certification (COC) credit for CSPs who attend, and Certification Maintenance (CM) credit for OHSTs and CHSTs who attend.

CSPs may earn at least 1.5 COC points for attending this conference. OHSTs and CHSTs may earn at least 1.5 CM points for attending this conference. Please keep your name badge and program book to verify attendance.

ABIH COC/CM Points — In past years, attendance at the Tennessee Safety and Health Conference has been approved for 2.0 total points by the ABIH. CIHs or CAIHs who desire to use these points can receive the approval number from the registration desk or see www.abih.org CIHs/CAIHs should also maintain programs and name badges to verify attendance.
